The world’s largest and most prestigious international lighting exhibition, Light + Building 2026, was held in Frankfurt, Germany from March 8 to 16, 2026. Held biennially, this exhibition serves as a global platform where the latest trends and innovative technologies in lighting, electrical engineering, and building services are showcased in one place.

This year’s exhibition highlighted key themes such as electrification, digitalization, and energy efficiency. Approximately 2,000 companies participated, and the official slogan, “Be Electrified – Electrifying Places, Illuminating Spaces,” symbolized the industry’s accelerating transition toward energy transformation.

Following our previous participation, Youngkong Lighting once again exhibited in Hall 3.0, the central hub of the exhibition, alongside leading global companies, proudly representing Korea as a premium outdoor lighting specialist. We were honored to welcome numerous visitors from around the world, and we sincerely appreciate the generous praise for our high-quality products and trend-forward designs.

Since our debut at Light + Building 2014 12 years ago, Youngkong Lighting has consistently introduced new products at each edition, presenting advanced technologies specialized for outdoor lighting.

This year, we unveiled a range of new products across various series, including PRIME CORE, PRIME X, and THOR X, all featuring contemporary designs. In particular, we introduced a new top lighting module that further enhances the expandability of POLESTAR. Additionally, we launched PENCIL AIR Version 2, an upgraded version that significantly improves upon the completeness of the existing PENCIL AIR.

We also proudly presented our new smart lighting control solution, SMART LIGHTING.

Based on intelligent control technology that responds to environmental conditions and movement, SMART LIGHTING delivers optimized illumination tailored to time and space usage patterns, enhancing both spatial safety and energy efficiency. 

Celebrating our 42nd anniversary in 2026, Youngkong Lighting remains committed to developing premium outdoor lighting solutions that embody advanced technology and refined design philosophy. We will continue to incorporate the valuable insights and feedback received at Light + Building 2026 to deliver even more innovative products in the future.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Youngkong Lighting. Since its founding in 1984, the company has achieved remarkable growth through continuous innovation and a commitment to quality. With a relentless pursuit of excellence and advancements in technology, Youngkong Lighting has established itself as a leader in the lighting industry. To commemorate 40 years of success and set the stage for a bold leap into the future, a special 40th-anniversary celebration was held.

On this day, President Jun Yousik, who has led Youngkong Lighting for many years, retired, and Vice President Jun Byungwoo succeeded him as the new President, continuing the legacy and vision of his predecessor. 

The new President stated that he will continue to drive sustained innovation and growth, grounded in the values and vision of Youngkong Lighting. 

​He expressed his sincere gratitude for the ongoing support of Youngkong Lighting and assured everyone that he would make every effort to lead the company into a new phase of growth. Thank you.

The Seoul International Garden Show 2024 was held at Ttukseom Han River Park last May 16 and it will last till October for six months under the theme ‘Seoul, Green Vibe’ with the title ‘Colorful Han River’. It will showcase beautiful gardens that change their look from season to season and during the show, you can all see the various cultural programs and arts from not only artists but students, citizens and companies or organizations.

Especially, Youngkong Lighting’s happily been contributing to the Garden show and worked together with Lee Changyeob (a professor at Hanyang University) and his wife Lee jin (a gardener) by sponsoring the newest Bollard, AYLA and THOR NANO (Floodlight). Their design was decorated with the concept of Immersive Resilience and finally won a silver award.

AYLA was Youngkong Lighting’s first collaboration with the designer, Kim Yeune Kyue, who is also owner of a professional lighting design studio, nethe. It was first introduced at the last Light+Building 2024 exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany in March and caught people’s eyes, bringing a fresh perspective and an understanding of light and outdoor space.
